Calling on pet-loving Airstreamer’s to help Dane County pets who are awaiting new homes! The Dane County Humane Society (DCHS) in Madison, like so many shelters, has seen an increased number of pets being handed over to them by families who can no longer provide for them and/or must move and cannot take them along (yes, heartbreaking). The reason boils down to finances; loss of jobs and income. The DCHS has provided a ‘Wish List’ of items that are of ‘highest need, used regularly and in large amounts’:*Bleach*Laundry detergent*Gently used towels and blankets*Canned dog and puppy food*Squeeze cheese in a can*Canned, ground cat and kitten food*Clay litter (unscented and non-clumping)*White copy paper*Colored copy paper*Plastic totes with lids (medium and large)How to help: Bring ANY item from the DCHS ‘Wish List’ to the Madison International! We (theThayer’s, #6569, Region 7/Unit 116) will deliver your donated items to the DCHS on behalf of all WBCCI members! Where to take items: Take them to the Bulletin Board display area, and look for the table devoted to the Dane County Humane Society! We’ll do the rest!Thank you for helping pets as they wait for their forever homes!Patti Thayervintagepatti@earthlink.net
